    Default British Gas

I have recently moved into a house which has had gas central heating installed by British Gas on behalf of the previous owners, but there are no instructions for the programmer.
I have emailled BG without sucess.
The only marking on the programmer is "OP1L"
Can anyone advise from where I can get instructions for this programmer and/or identify the make and model of the programmer?
The programmer has a small B&W lcd window under which are 4 buttons - left pair designated "Hot Water and the right pair "central heating" the left of each pair is designated "Advance" and the right " + 1hr ".
On the right of the unit are two rectangular red LEDs on above the other. The top "CH" and bottom "HW"
Hidden under the flap are a slider switch, 6 buttons and a very small recessed reset button. The t 3 position slider is designated:
    (upper posn) "set prg"
    (mid posn) "set time"
    (lower posn) "run"
The 6 buttons are laid out on 2 rows.
2 select buttons on the top row are designated (left) "HW" (right) "CH"
The lower row of 4 buttons are designated from L to R:
"YES", "NO", "TIME -", "TIME +"
Finally, the pull down flap has the designation "UP1L2 written vertically on the far left side.
I hope you can identify it from the above.
    Thank you

    Unfortunately no. Nothing like them.
It is a British Gas badged programmer with more buttons etc, than on any displayed on the link you gave. I'm begining to think that this must be the only one ever made! I'm still waiting from B.G. for a response; even after several reminders!
Seems like it may be easier to move home!!
Thank you for your time and effort
    Regards
    Chris

Sorry, no. I looked at all the other controls on that site too (Danfoss, Honeywell, Comap and Siemens) but none of them fit the bill neither. Do you know of any other site that may be able to help? or any useful key words for searches that I may not have already tried?
Once again, thank you for all you time and effort, Chris

Can you take a photo, save it on your PC then upload to www.listbetter.com then link using the IMG button?

    That might help

    Nearly!

Use the IMG button before and after the URLs to include the images in your text:

    and

You might need to resize them (I reduced them by 25%) as well...

Found one for sale, well sold actually, on ebay -> http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...tem=6050887256 <- might be worth speaking to the buyer (via Ebay's messaging system) for more info!

That said, it looks pretty straight forward. Open the flap to set the time and the program times, (ie. on/off am and on/off pm) for both CH and HW, once done it'll work fine, just press advance to toggle HW/CH on or off or press +1hr to leave it on/off that little bit longer. Not exactly rocket science but then I am a computer programmer!

Thanks for putting up the two photos on my behalf, although I'm still ignorant of how you did it! Where do I find the IMG button exactly?
I've posted a request to the eBay seller and buyer you mentioned and hope one might respond with the info.
Best regards and hope you have a good Christmas,
    Chris
