Worcester-Bosch 19/24CBi start-up problem. HELP !
Its been a cold Christmas !
I have a 2 year old Wocester Bosch 19/24 CBi. It won't fire-up properly first thing in the morning. It comes on for a few moments then cuts out and goes to lock out. After repeated resetting it may then come on - and then its fine for the rest of the day but this is an intermittent fault. I had the same problem a year ago and a new board was fitted. I have just had a new sensor/thermostat fitted, but the problem remains.
Any ideas please? - I would be very grateful.
Thanks...Dave.

check there's no water getting in the flue,
it only takes a drop on the ignition probes to stop it firing up,
once it has gone through the cycle a few times the water dries up and bingo your away.

Thanks, Sunbeam, I've been away but your message was welcome on my return. The flue is certainly exposed to driving rain recently so maybe that's it, but how do I stop it? Also, could it be the gas valve sticking since the problem seems to be a first-thing-in-the-day one?

could be the gas valve but it's an expensive guess
i'm still more inclined to go with the water problem, or dew,
if you clock will do it try and fire the boiler up for 5 mins during the night for a few times.
