Hi all,
I'm looking for a way to keep my eye on electricity consumption within our apartment. I've installd a DIN rail mounted electricity meter (our actual electricity meter is locked away down the hallway in a communal cupboard) with a pulse output, and I want to find a way of transmitting the pulses along the powerline to a computer for logging somehow.
I have read various articles on how to make your own optical pulse counter, but wondered if there was a way to do this without having a direct connection to the computer. Is there something like an X10 compatible pulse transmitter, that takes a pulse input and transmits something like an "ON" signal on a given address?
Thanks
Rich
