    CM12U - Transmission failed

Good afternoon, I have installed a usb CM12U using the CM11 drivers from Marmitek.com. When I test communications on Activehome 1.42 I get the message "transmission failed" I have ensured that the com port is correct and I still get the same message. I am running an Acer iDea 500 with MCE 2005. When I try and use Harmony the CM12 doesn't initialise. I have uninstalled and installed all three program several times but to no avail>

    Please help.

    Thanks

Did the CM12 come with a serial cable as well, I know the CM11 comes with both. Is it possible to try this cable maybe on another machine with the Cm12 just to verify that the CM12 does actually work. A quick one to do is take out the batteries and leave the unit unplugged for a while, then try again. This sometimes helps a sticky unit. The batteries are only used to keep the clock running during power outages.
Also make sure if harmony needs the active bridge software running from the active home software. This may be causing the unit not to intialise under harmony, thats assuming the CM12 is OK of course. IF you are not too sure just try with and with out the active bridge running.
Have you looked in the device manager and checked that the USB com port settings are indeed what the software thinks they should be.
Also have a look here http://www.marmitek.com/en/klantense...hp?product=282
This is the FAQ for the CM11
    Good luck
IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

Thanks for the reply, the 3 amp fuse went in the unit, hence no signals!
