Pilot light goes out after a bath.

Hello again and thanks to Sunbeam for helping me with a hot water problem in the depths of winter but as you've probably guessed I have another boiler question.
My Mum has a separate water heater (Main Mersey Super) which has the annoying habit of letting it's pilot light go out after it has heated for a long time i.e. a baths worth of water.
It's just been serviced and I have cleared a load of dead Ivy out of the flue but it still keeps going out.
If anyone can give me a clue why it would be much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Steve

have a look at the pilot light through the little window steve,

    how big is it?

    what colour is it?

there is only one thing you really need to do when you service a mersey and that's make sure the little hole at the bottom of the pilot tube inside the burner compatment is clear,

a common fault when servicing, is putting the piolt injector back in the wrong way up,

Hello again Sunbeam thanks for the reply.
The Pilot light is blue and very small maybe only 2 or 3mm around the top of the injector.
The fault has nothing to do with the service it has been doing it for years but it's getting worse, I always thought that the pilot light should be bigger and hoped that the service engineer would turn it up.
I was not there when it was serviced and my mum can't remember if she told the engineer about it going out so it's not his fault.
Do you think the pilot size could cause the problem?

If you live in a hard water area russelly then maybe the heat exchanger on the multipoint is full of scale,

it will shut down on over heat because there's not much water going through it when the shower is on,

            good choice on the shower

              Grohe Shower

I have a Grohe shower head. And found I had a similar problem to what you described. I took the shower head off and descaled it. Thinking it was this, there was some limescale but not that much.. Also at the point on the mixer tap where the flexible shower hose connects, on mine there was a small gauze filter thing. I took this out and this was almost solid with limescale. Didin't even try and descale this. I just threw it away. Once I had done this it all worked fine. So removing this gauze filter seemed to do the trick as its never happened again and its been 18 months.
IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.
