    Unhappy Potterton Prima 30 F - NO HEATING/HOT WATER

    Hi
I am new to the forum so HELLO ALL

We have since a week all of a sudden a problem with our gas boiler:
it starts off but does not light up at all, retrys and fails again; unfortunately we don't have any diy knowledge of boilers...

the "click" that lights the flame does not come-that's it.
Before it worked absolutely fine even though we were wondering if it's normal that the radiators akeep some level of warmth when heating is turned off, hot water on automatic.

We had our hot water cylinder replaced recently and suspect a connection?

Please could somebody have an idea so we know what to expect if we call out a plumber?

I am still hoping it's something very simple.....

Managed to bring it back to work but it seems temperamental a bit -
drained air and turned up to max, lit up.

Seems to turn itself off as soon as not on max...?

    Maybe the Honeywell thing broke?

    Any ideas again appreciated...=D

Could it be that the distance between the spark ends is too wide?

    Thank you for the advice;
where are the spark ends and can i change it myself?

We have noticed that it would fire up if we put it on full power and additionally put the heating ON...

    thanks again

If you really have no idea, then maybe it is better to call in the expert? You really don't want to mess with gas...
