    XTENDEX ST-C5HDA-600 Vs KAT5 RGB

    Hi,

I've stumbled across the XTENDEX ST-C5HDA-600 componentvideo and SPDIF audio over Cat 5 product: See http://www.nti1.co.uk/hdtv-extend.html

Is this a re-branded Kat5RGB TX/RX or a competing product? If a competing product then sorry to be off-topic here, but does anyone have any experience of it?

    Thanks

    Nigel

    Hi Nigel,

    Not a rebranded KAT5 product.

KAT5 units all have IR passthrough capability.

Thanks for response Keith. Knew it wouldn't be up to the mark compared to Kat5

How does Kat5 (RGB in composite video mode) compare on bandwidth. Can you handle 1080i and 1080p at full native resolution (i.e. to a 1080p projector such as the Panasonic PT-AE1000E)?

      Thanks

      Nigel
