Yes I heard this news too, and can confirm it's true. While they had a good product it was brought to market too early and at the wrong price point, in my opinion.
It might be coming back, someone is talking about taking it on again.

Chris, you are indeed correct in what you are saying. The ConvergeX software and all IPR relating to the product has been purchased by a UK company.
This company is currently stabilising the software ready for further development and relaunch.
The ConvergeX software is, and always has been, a very well written and designed application. Work will begin in the coming months to build on this and take the software forward.
