    Double button Appliance Wall Switch

Im lookign in to controlling my lights via x10 and i am not sure which light switches or components to use but i need them to control the following.

1st Switch - Porch -(energy saving bulb) hall way light - ( halogen )
2nd switch - hall way - 1st floor landing both halogen spot lights
3rd switch - 1st floor landing 2nd floor landing again same halogen lights
4th Switch - 2nd floor landing , just single light switch
Ive been looking at double button Appliance Wall Switch below.

Will this light switch be sufficent to work the energy saving light bulb and 40w G9 halogen lighbulbs,or will i need another module fitted inline as well. The hallogen lights are supposed to be dimmable.

    Thanks

    Just so I've got it.
The hall lights are controlled by Switch 1 and Switch 2.
1st floor landing lights are controlled by Switch 2 and 3
2nd floor landing lights are controlled by switch 3 and 4
Best way I think is similar to the suggestion I gave Sonix.
Fit a double button appliance wall switches in Switch locations 1 and 3. In locations 2 and 4 use a scene control module. Like this one

Low energy / energy saver bulbs can not be dimmed. So its probably better to go for appliance modules.

Thanks for the quick reply, would the halogen lights be ok with the scene switches as i might use them on all three floors. To be on the safe side could i fit applicance switches to control all the lights or would this not work. Im not worried about dimming just on/ off.

      Thanks

Using appliance modules is not a problem. And will work with halogens.
As a note. The scene modules only send out a sequence of preprogrammed commands that you have programmed in to them. So you still need the normal appliance modules as these will actually switch the lights on.

Ok i think ill go with the appliance and the scene controller, just one more question, does the appliance module need a neutral wire as i believe that my house will not have one in the switch. If this is the case wil i need to fit appliance modules or something simular in the light rose.

          Thanks
