Default Wifi 802.11 controlled home automation

I am looking for some home automation devices that work from 802.11 wifi. Are there any out there and if so can you recommend any in particular?

I am looking at being able to turn plug sockets and lights on and off using either text messages, internet etc..

    all suggestions welcome.

The 2 COM ports RFXCOM WLAN interface can have a transmitter and a receiver inserted. With this you are able to control Domia Lite, X10 (with a TM13 installed).
And you can receive sensors for weather, security, ligthing, energy usage etc.

So is Domia the way to go forward with this? Are there any limiting factors with this?

I will be looking at extending the things I use this for but for now I just want to be able to control plug sockets etc...

I like the idea of sensors etc...

    Thanks
    Mark
