    Default Telephone Line and X10

A newbie question: what equipment do I need to send an X10 signal when the telephone rings and how do I wire this up?

I have a similar setup with my front doorbell, which is connected to an X10 Powerflash. When my doorbell is pressed my television pauses and brings up PIP with my IP camera. I would like to achieve something similar when the phone rings. Any ideas guys?

    Thanks in anticipation.

How good are you with a soldering iron. Quickest and simplist would be to purchase one of those plugin phone ringers that have a light. So when the phone rings the light flashes. And then just connect the wires from the light to a powerflash module. May need to check voltages etc.

Some of these links are more US based than UK so may not work but will probably point you in the right direction.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

Thanks! My soldering is terrible but I'll give it a go and report back.
