I wonder if Z-wave will be king in a few years?
Z-Wave looks interesting and clever. It's forte is still retro-fit, and it can't get away from the relatively unsightly plugin modules problem, so it won't really be in the same market as C-Bus.

Its actually alot more than that. Its a very good system that I could write several books about. Suffice to say that there are some very nice products coming out shortly that shall part your hair, thats if you are into building automation ofcoarse.Originally Posted by numpty
Vesion 3 software is imminent for release and it kicks butt. Totally new look and all based on the C-gate protocol. extreemly fast network scans and alot of other nice ideas like bar code scanning into a database. Very fast to build your next project. I could go on but I don't want to bore you.
C-Bus is the future.

Ross - I was lucky enough to see Jason Gerard demo a V3 alpha recently. It's a huge improvement. Good to see the software is catching up with the hardware now.

I believe CIS (Clipsal Integrated Systems) have employed some serious software engineers recenlty. The software you can expect from here on in will be very impressive. Schedule+ V2 is also due. All of the new software has the same look and feel to keep the user in the loop. Exciting time ahead.Originally Posted by Otto-Mate
