X10 command from standard PIR w/o powerflash

    Hello All,

First post here and i'm a x10 noob in need of a bit of help. I have 6 existing 240v wired external PIRs and I want each of them to send an X10 command when triggered. I have read that I can do this using a relay and a powerflash module, but space is limited and I can't plugin a powerflash without alot of rewiring and wall chasing.

So, can I use a TMA4 micromodule instead of a powerflash? Whereby I connect the relay to the PIR 240v which is then connected to the TMA4 thus simulating a switch on/off and transmitting the relevent X10 command.

Would this work? Or am I misunderstanding how it works?

    Hope someone can help me.

    Thanks,

In theory it should work as the specs say that a dry contact is needed for the switched inputs. As long as the relay's coil is mains rated.
IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.
