I'm new to home automation and I try to decide which system to choose. I need a cheap system that controls lights, shutters, HVAC, etc.., but more reliable, than X10. I want to control everything with a 3G/Wlan compatible phone or iPod touch via a home server in the end. Z-Wave seems to be the ideal solution for me, but maybe you guys know some other options that I should consider.
