    X10 control of LW10U problem

I have installed a LW10U in my office to control my lights. The unit is working fine as a local switch however I am having problems with the X10 control.

When the light is switched on I can turn it off via X10 and if I turn it back on straight away it works however if I leave the light off for a couple of seconds (or more) then the switch does not respond to the X10 on signals.

I have tried swapping the light switch but it made no difference.

    Thanks for any help.

So you have tried another LW10.
What are you using to transmit the X10 commands.
What type of bulb are you using.
How have you wired it up.
And have you tried the switch in another location. I have a long mains lead with a moulded mains plug on one end and crimped leads at the other. I connect this to an X10 module and then connect a small 60W reading light to the output. I can then test the module in a variety of locations to see if it works. This then allows me to rule out faulty modules etc. And also to see if there are any X10 dead spots. This also makes it easy for programming modules that have no code wheels as I can lay them all out on the work bench and program them one after another.
IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.
