    Worster 24i boiler

i have low pressure and cant fillup the system .. i have checked and replaced the filler tap and checked that the flex hose is not blocked, but no water runs into the system when the tap is turned on .... it seems to be working ok at .5 bar , but is it costing more to run or doing any damage to the boiler .. and what could be the cause of this fill problem ?

What is your normal mains pressure for water like? Does your kitchen tap have a good flow (kitchen taps are usually tapped-off the incoming main).

Did you used to have higher water pressure (generally, not the boiler) and things have changed recently?

0.5 bar is about 5m of "head" - the pressure at the bottom of a 5m high tube of water will be 0.5 bar. Does your filling loop come off the incoming water main or is it tapped into the supply from a cold water header tank in the loft?

A header tank in the loft would be about 5m above a ground-floor mounted boiler...
