A couple of questions as I'm looking to get a visonic powermax plus or pro to install at home.
First of all, is the pro any harder to install than the plus (only because all the sites that sell the pro seem to say it's for professional installers only). As far as I can see they shouldn't really be any different as it's just a newer control panel?
Also, is there a big difference between the two. I know the pro looks a bit sleeker and some of the optional modules can be installed internally rather than externally, but other than that, are there any other features that make it work spending a fair bit more on it over the plus?
My final question is should the main panel be hard-wired into the mains. The installation diagrams seem to suggest that it is just plugged into a normal socket like any other appliance, but it is actually more advisable to hard-wire it so it's not so easy to disconnect, or is it fine to plug it in and make sure you've also got a backup battery should it be unplugged?
Many thanks for any suggestions.
