    DRH-001 practical question

looking at options to control our all electric thermal store ... several 3kW immersion heaters, on for up to seven hours overnight, most off during the day ... with any that are on subject to spells off, due to the needs of load management (eg: when someone wants to run a washing machine & boil a kettle) ... an obvious device to do the switching is the DRH-001, more than one, and another is the QRH-001, but these are fairly serious loads, on for fairly serious amounts of time, so wondered if it would be OK ??

NB: looking to the Idratek HA to do the load management ... with the ADM1TEs providing feedback ...

In terms of a continuous load a DRH-001 is capable of handling 13A (internally relays are 16A and circuit tracking designed to dT~10-15C @16A). If you feel inclined it may be worth checking switch on currents though I think resistive type heating elements are in fact much kinder than incandescent light bulbs. Also would always recommend appropriately placed suppressors to help reduce contact switching spikes
