CBus and Media Centre 2005 systems

Just starting to get involved in CBus based projects and have a question from one of the projects.

I am told that Microsoft's Media Centre has some home automation controls on it and that it can control X10.

Does anyone know if the same outputs can control CBus? Or is there a 3rd part software that will sit on that machine and interface to CBus?

One side of the project is pushing for a MC based machine and I want to pull it away from it and onto CBus controllers etc.

Far more robust in my mind.

I believe there are HomeSeer plugins for MCE and xAP, and xAP can conrol CBus using Kevins hardware.
