Visonic Powermax plus / Powermax+ Burglar / Intruder Alarm

    HELP NEEDED

Visonic Powermax plus / Powermax+ Burglar / Intruder Alarm

I previously had a hardwired Response alarm with hard wired door contacts

I want to use the wired door/window contacts on the Visonic Powermax plus. However the terminals on the Visonic are completely different.

    Can you please advice

    1.
What exact terminals the hardwired 2wire door contact will go into on the Visonic control panel

I have wired them to ground and zone 29 – but I get nothing – what am I doing wrong ?

The connections are not as straight forward as just connecting the wires to Zone 29 and GND.
You need to connect a 2.2K ohm resistor across zone 29 and GND. Then connect one wire to GND and the other wire gets connected to zone 29 via a 2.2kohm resistor.
It shows you on page 6 of the installers manual a wiring diagram, if you don't have this it can be downloaded from here http://www.visonic.com/VisonicHomePa.../DE5467IP3.pdf

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.
