    powermax+ Force arm

It it possible to force the system to arm even though a door is open.

I would like to be able to arm the system even though I have left the front door open.

The option "bypass" seems to be the setting but no matter what I set this to e.g. "force arm" the system just says "not ready" and I have to go and close the front door then press arm before leaving.

    Any ideas?

Yes it is possible but I think you have to go into one of the set up menus first to enable this feature.
I don't have a powermax manual to hand, but when I do I will have a look for you. One quick question is the front door set as an exit and entry zone. And once you set it in bypass it won't be able to trigger an alarm.
IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

It is an exit/entry zone and the manual did imply it would bypass the zone (as the option suggests) although "force arm" seemed to be along the right lines. I obvioulsy don't want to bypass the zone just force the arming.

Under the heading bypass we have

      no bypass
      manual
      force arm

I can't see anything else that comes close.
