    lw12 two way switching

    Hi there

I am trying to work out how to wire a pair of two way switches with an LW12. I am using momentary switches in Australia that have four holes in them .. Common, 1, 2, and Loop.

The current wiring is that the active is on the common of one switch with a one pair cable connected to 1 and 2 of that switch. The one pair cable runs to the 1 and 2 on the second switch. On the second switch the common point is connected to the active switch wire that runs to the lights.

    Sw 1 .....................................Sw 2
    Active----Common
    1--------------------------------1
    2--------------------------------2
    ...........................................Common---s/w active--light

I have done some reading and it seems that I need to have the LW12 on the side with the active switch wire (which makes sense). The question I have is how do I wire the other connections.

If you could tell me what it should look like and which wires connect to what on the LW12 that would be great!

Try looking here. http://www.letsautomate.com/11608.cfm not a brilliant example.
This is another way to do it but this is for a slightly different module.

I am trying to control a two way switched lamp in the UK and the above link seems to show that I can keep my existing switches, with no need to change to the momentary action push buttons that I don't want.

Does anyone know if this module has the soft start and soft stop that I find so attractive?

Here is a review of it, http://x10-hk.com/store/product_revi...6&reviews_id=8

The reason the wires are thin going to the switch is that they are low voltage and don't carry a mains voltage.
        Hope this helps.
