wondered if it was possible to plug & unplug a device on the go - eg: have a switch module of own-making that can be plugged into a Idratek system as required ...
IIUC, it should be possible, using digital inputs of various modules, configured appropriately ... wired to sockets, rather than to (say) reed-switches, into which a portable switch unit could be plugged, as required ...
so, when have appropriate guests, we could provide a switch module on a flexible lead, plugged into the wall, to give them appropriate control options (lights, TV, whatever) ...
'bit like child-locks on a car - if they can be trusted, provide capability, and if they can't, don't ...
ie: without having to log into Cortex & reconfigure, each time want to provide / not-provide the control options ...
PS: imagine something like a Nice (*) module or shockproof holder on a lead, but on a lead & using (say) buttons from Maplin or Rapid ...
