    TV & radio ...

TV & radio ... since the telly got broken (cracked screen when a hand-bag bumped it), we've been using an EyeTV stick on one of the laptops - totally brilliant (two tuners, watch & record at click of a button, complex schedules a breeze, searching on key-words & categories quick & easy, Wi-Fi distribution to other desktops & laptops, even iPods & iPhones, all around the house a treat, up to ten simultaneously, same or different programmes, time-shifted or not) ...

all of which is making me wonder if tying it into Idratek would be good - eg: to do the Bill Gates trick of having programmes follow people around the house, and other more useful things, such as timed-play-back to the appropriate display, and ...

ie:, like Paul on the UFH / manifold thread, was wondering if anyone had tried such a thing, yet ... ??

    Chris,

Not really what you are looking for but have you checked out GBPVR? Mainly designed as a PVR but also allows streaming of LiveTV. You can use a NMT as a client.

    Very good,

Thanks, interesting ... if it can distribute live TV across the network, then it goes a bit further than EyeTV, else seems to do a similar job ... wondering if PLEX can work with EyeTV, to bring in movies (DVD, NAS), too, 'though nervous of losing flexibility ...
