I'm not an electrician, but seeing as the light switches in my house have 2 wires each I'm wondering what the other 4 on a Z-Wave switch are for. Let's automate has quite a few switches to choose from, but I'm mostly interested in the 2 rockers with 1 load (ZRM230) and the 1 rocker with 1 load (ZWD230).
The description says:
I read this as: L + one of the Ns = The normal wires. I presume I'm just being dumb not realising what the other terminals are for (even the difference between Line Neutral and Load Neutral is confusing me). Any advice would be much appreciated, before I order one and have to work out where I magic extra wires from
The description says:
Connections: Six Position Terminal Block connections:
- L: Line Voltage; N: Line Neutral; N: Load Neutral;
- 1: Load Output Voltage; 2: 3-Way reference (Neutral);
- 3: Three Way input from AS200.
- L: Line Voltage; N: Line Neutral; N: Load Neutral;
- 1: Load Output Voltage; 2: 3-Way reference (Neutral);
- 3: Three Way input from AS200.
