This is £69 on SimplyAutomate - if its the same product? (I dont know if it is, but usually the only difference is firmware)

That's very cheap. RRP is £49. Beware that these may be v1 controllers though, which would need a firmware upgrade (BBSB do these for you as it involves a little more than just a software upgrade) with additional cost.

I saw these and spoke to Scan (because I want to run Quinten's lovely program with it!) and they confirmed that they were almost definitely old V1 stock.
Does anyone know for sure if the V1 is definitely identical Hardware to the V2, with the only difference being the Firmware?
Price doesn't look so good when you factor in that you need to pay delivery to you, postage to BBSB and the upgrade fee. Lets Automate is £69 (on the expensive side as ever) but Amazon are selling for £43 with no delivery charges.

Beware that Amazon's may be v1's too. Personally bought mine from http://www.uk-automation.co.uk/ , but they seem to have run out of stock. I can recommend you buy them from Rob Iles (Harmony developer and contractor for BBSB though: http://www.domialifestyle.com/BBS_Range.asp
But to answer your concern, v1's can definately be upgraded to v2, but only by returning them to BBSB (or the aforementioned Rob Iles).
