Default Who does dimmers for 25mm back boxes with no neutral?

My plans for automating my new home have just hit a snag, I have found the house has solid walls and the current light switches have 25mm back boxes and no neutral.

What options do I have for remotely controlled dimmers without dedicated cables that will fit 25mm back boxes with no neutral (and are not ugly)?

Rako do one that is 19.5mm deep

And marmitek do a whole range of X10 micro modules these are only 16mm deep
    AW12 MicroModule doesn't require a neutral wire.
www.marmitek.com then go to home automation and select micro modules.

Also take a look at the Enocean wireless range

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

I'd guess the "no neutral" is a bit more of a problem than 25mm depth as you can always make the hole deeper. Wherever I've added new patresses I've made them as deep as possible (47mm for solid walls & 35mm IIRC for plasterboard walls). I have also ripped out some shallow sockets and replaced them with deeper ones.

It's can get a little bit messy but it's not insurmountable

    HTH,

    Tim.
