Can anyone explain the difference between two versions of the CM15Pro please?

I have found two different versions of the CM15Pro X10 controller on the web. One has a figure of 8 power connector, the other from Marmitek has a cable entering the unit. The plastic mouldings are also different.

You can see the first one at http://www.habitek.co.uk/cm15-pro-x1...er-p-1821.html, and the second Marmitek one at http://www.uk-automation.co.uk/popup_image.php?pID=1346.

Can anyone explain the difference between the two please?

    Many thanks,
    David.

X10 units are made for different markets and becuase they use different connector they are designed with all the electronics in one part of the case and the physical connectors in a two piece plastic moulding to keep assembly costs down.

Looking at the two links you posted, one has a captive cable which should have a plug already fitted to the end of it. The second as you correctly pointed out has a figure 8 connector so would just be supplied with the appropriate lead for the intended country.

I dont believe there are any other differences but I could be wrong LOL

Thanks Katman. I guessed that might be the case for EU vs UK power connections. However the upper part of the plastic moulding is also different, so I'm wondering if the differences are more than skin deep.

I have asked a few retailers and will post any answers.

There is no difference between them. The case is slightly different. But it is the same unit underneath.

I have now spoken with retailers who stock the BMB and Marmitek versions, and they have said that it is the same unit inside, just different power connection systems.
