How to Mount the iPod Touch (or iPad) Outdoors?

I would like to mount the iPod Touch outdoor. Any ideas on how to make this happen?

It would have to be theft and weather resistent.

I'm thinking an in-wall mount, but questions remain...

    1. How to make it waterproof (is there a glass which can go on top of the glass that's already there?)

    2. How to make it temperature proof (the iPod's operating temperature is 32 to 95 degrees F)

    Any input would be appreciated.

For waterproofing check out www.liquipel.com/ Never used it personally. As for temperature, the device will show an overtemp / under temp error and not work until rectified.
Problem with enclosure will be the capacitive screen not working properly

      Otter boxes are quite good.
      This stuff looks interesting though.
IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

Thank you for the replies guys. Yes, Liquipel looks good and can be used if the person wants it waterproofed. I solved the temperature question by using a device with a large operating temperature.
