Oh I see what you mean now. Interesting that it just seems to employ two wires, suggests that maybe the power to the sensor perhaps gets pulled low for a short burst upon touch? Would need to know more detail. Anyhow if you're into a little bit of electronics a low cost touch sensor could be built using this device or one of its variants: AT42QT1011.
