    Default Flashing lamp problem

I have a normal table lamp pugged in to an LM12U X10 lamp module. This is plugged into an extension lead. When I press the off button on my remote the lamp flashes but does not turn off? Other units in the house work OK. Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Hi,

What do you mean by "the lamp flashes" ? Does it try to go off, or just flash and stay on at the same brightness ?

What is the wattage and type of bulb ? I think these work with a minimum of 40W filament bulbs, and they possibly pass a small current through the lamp even when off. Can you try a higher wattage bulb or another LM12 to rule that out ?

Homer is correct, also is the bulb a normal filament or is it a compact fluorescent bulb.
IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.
