    Honeywell EvoTouch software issue

My Evotouch lost a lot of display buttons yesterday and wouldn't display schedules correctly. As I've only had the unit for a few weeks I was not sure how to reset the software. Clearly that could be done by removing the rechargeable batteries but I could find whether doing this would lose the not inconsiderable number of settings and bindings.

The corruption was so bad I decided to risk doing just that. It came back up with the majority of settings OK but it lost some of the zone names plus a few other things.

Is Evotouch have battery backup capability?
Has anyone else had this sort of software problem?
When restored has anyone else lost configuration information?

I love the unit but not if I have these sort of issues!

I know there is a new model coming out in January.
