    Default While unoccupied ..

wonder if anyone else gets this - sometimes while the House is empty, because we're away, say, we find it can become Occupied for short periods - last night, for example, Motion was detected in the PlantRoom at about 06:20, causing the House to become Occupied, for about fifteen minutes, after which it became Unoccupied again ...

only happens now & again ... no sign of mice or spiders, that we could see !

Motion detectors can be triggered by a variety of not so obvious sources, and of course they need to be sensitive on the one hand to ensure lighting reacts quickly but not so for intruder detection and the example that you give. Alarm desensitisation is handled by the alarm object where you can set the number of detections in a given period before a trigger is generated, however for house occupancy there is a different approach. Here there is an option in the House Behaviour menu to prevent rooms from setting House occupancy (after house has been deemed to be unoccupied) until an external door is opened.

just to close this one off ...

Motion plus opening of one external door or Motion in two separate Rooms is enough to trigger House as Occupied ...

and we'd got the Motion sensor connected to more than one Room ...

intentionally, because we wanted the Lights in both to come on ...

so, we need to make the connections directly to the Lights, not via the Rooms ...
