Pattern recognition & forward projection …
we've been failing to create some logic that recognises when something's happened from sensor traces & keeps a count - eg: how many brew-ups today … the blips in the traces can be quite small, but quite distinct - easily counted manually, but how to do it automagically, and how to keep a count ??
ditto, extrapolating current trends to predict when something might happen - eg: to warn we might be flooded in two hours …
anyone successfully done such things, by any chance ??
Chris
PS: sort of thing we've tried, for the first, is : Sensor => direct & via longish Filter to Differential Amplifier => Thresholds to determine up or down => direct & via longish Delay to an AND gate, and direct & via a NOT gate to another AND gate, to determine if it was a blip or a change in level …
NB: in the case of the second, it's not just a case of a rising level - because water comes & goes, and it's the difference between the two that makes for trouble !

Probably getting into the realms of using your own coding for greater flexibility with access to the signals via the API.

maybe, but we've noticed how powerful just a few gates of Cortex General Logic can be, when appropriately arranged ... whoever (!) put them together, must be something of a genius, because they've often proved almost incredibly versatile & surprisingly powerful, even when just a few are put together ... maybe we'll leave it for a week or two, and come back afresh ...
