Default Just to get me started...

Hi folks - yep, you've guessed it, another newbie question.

I've been looking at this, and other sites for a few months now, and I've decided to try and start some kind of project, but I don't know where to begin.

Ideally, I'm looking for some kind of small project (an easy one, preferrably!) to get me started. Has anyone got any thoughts?

    Cheers.

    Hi Stewart, Welcome!

What about a little simple lighting control to start with. Have you watched the X10 video from the News Page?

Thanks for that.. I actually found it shortly after making my last post!

It looks very good - I like the Harmony software!

What do you think my first move should be? The starter kit? What would be the best value for money?

    Thanks again.

Yes Stewart, try a started kit, a few modules will give you a taste of X10. Have a look at the links page for UK suppliers, also have a look at www.homeseer.com

Thinking about Simply Automate's Bronze Starter Kit.

Is this any good, or is there a better one? I think X10 is the way for me to go..

    Cheers.

That'll give you wireless controll of a lamp, good way to play with X10 and easy to build the system.

Let us know how you get on.
