I've had my Evohome system installed for a couple of weeks, just controlling the radiators to get used to it. The system has been working well.
I didn't connect to the boiler as we were about to have it changed. We now have a biomass system with a thermal store. The boiler relay is connected to the pump on the heating side of the store.
The new boiler is not yet commissioned but I've just finished wiring the pump to the store and connecting the BDR91 which is working fine.
When I test it by turning the heating on, the pump starts. When I then turn the heating off it takes about 25 minutes to stop. Does anyone know why this might be? I was surprised to find that I'm not able to tell the system whether it is controlling a pump or a boiler.
The thermal store temperature is controlled from the Windhager boiler which has inputs from 2 sensors.
It's a great system but sometimes I'm not sure what it's thinking! It may be that the poor thing is totally confused by the fact that I'm playing with it with a tank of cold water and maybe it will all be sorted out when the boiler is fired up on Monday.
