At around 1pm I received an email alert to say that the Controller had lost communication. This was confirmed on the app.
I got home at around 5.30pm and confirmed that there had not been a power cut.
On the controller there was an error message to do with Bedroom 1 (Bedroom 1 has a DT92). The Boiler relay had a red light on. I cleared this message and the system is gradually 'resyncing' everything. Surprisingly I have not had to reset anything.
A have a couple of concerns:
Straight after clearing this error message, I checked the log and there was definitely only 4 logs - 2 from January and then the bedroom one and one which said something along the lines of Restore controller or gateway. I have since gone back in and there are now pages of errors.
BUT
The cause of this crash (I am presuming) is that the batteries have gone in the DT92.
I have looked at all these logs and they now show error messages saying that the battery was low, the first one being back on 28th March. Not once has this error flashed up on the main screen like the comms fault.
Now that the batteries have actually failed, why has it crashed the system - surely only that zone should fail.
Will this be replicated if the HR92 batteries fail?
As I type this, all zones have now restored (it took around 30 minutes for them to restore). I replaced the batteries in the DT92 and it looks ok I presume I don't need to do anything with it - I have not done anything to it, it came up SYNC so I left it until everything had synced on the controller.
