    EvoHome coming to SmartThings ?

    Hi there,

I can see Honeywell listed as one of the few Climate controls on the new v2 Samsung SmartThings Hub, however this just seems to be an American Z-Wave Thermostat. Does Honeywell have plans to bring the EvoHome to the SmartThings hub ?

    Thanks,
    Roy.

Yes evohome will be supported by Smart things hub. We cannot detail exactly when as this is controlled by Samsung's internal team. We have been told 'soon'

Thanks. All I needed to know was the intention was that it would be coming. May go grab one now.

Any update on this? Evohome is pictured on several of Smartthings' pages but is still unsupported.

The smart things forum is currently looking for beta testers and is saying 4-6 weeks for availability.

Whats the advantage of 'another box' versus using the evohome app on your phone etc?

You should be able to tie quick actions in with the SmartThings presence sensor, for example.

It's just another piece in the automated home jigsaw puzzle.

Thanks, that was my understanding, just wanted to check i wasnt missing something. I can see the advantage with the sensors but ive run out of router connections and plug sockets!

Will watch this thread with interest as it seems that Smarthings is the way forward with all the built in control modes over and above just ZWave and at the price point

I was told they were not doing it yet!
