Have you considered mounting your ceiling roses onto round dry lining boxes? I don't know for sure that they will fit, but it would be worth looking into. http://m.screwfix.com/p/appleby-circ...box-35mm/90517
Hi, does anyone know if a deeper ceiling rose exists?
At the moment, I'm putting my Z-Wave modules in a choc-box in the ceiling void above the rose, but this just seems like far too much work, not to mention having to spoil a laminated floor to get to the void above the rose.
For me, the ceiling rose would be ideal as it has both wires (my wall switches do not - and I would have to make them deeper to accommodate the module) and it wouldn't mean pulling up floor boards when I need to re-pair the module.
Anyone have any ideas?
Cheers in advance.
Dave.

It's certainly an option, but would involve making bigger holes in the ceiling, I guess if they are a good fit, no-one will notice - I might get a couple to try.
Many thanks.
I did think though, that it would be trivial to get a deeper rose to fit a dimmer module, but as ever, I must be on a different planet to everyone else!
Cheers.

Perhaps these might work?
This one says it's a round ceiling rose adapter for trunking:

This one looks deeper, but also tapered so can't tell whether it would match up with a standard rose:

Neither are expensive though, if you bought one to try
I googled "round surface box" - you might find others that would be suitable.
HTH,
Tim.
