All,
My Evo Home system has been in since January and has been running great, doing what it does and saving me about 30% on our gas bill. The system has 13 HR92 spread across 7 different zones, in addition we have the how water pack. This morning I was awoken by a less than impressed wife informing me the shower was freezing and all the rads were cold.
I did some initial digging and manually turning the HR92s activates the rad valves so eliminated those, also ran RF Comms checks ont he RF92s and all fine - comms checked the remote gateway too just for completeness, no problem, so starting thinking BDR91s may be the issue.
In the cupboard that houses the Megaflo cylinder we have two BDR91s, one controlling the motorised hot water valve and one controlling the CH motorised valve. I'm thinking it's unlikely both valves have failed and the error log on the controller shows comms failure Thursday night at 22:10 (It's now Saturday AM). Whilst it did feel a bit chilly yesterday we had two hot showers in the AM so not sure how two hot showers Friday AM fits with Comms failure Thursday night unless it re-established comms.
Anyway, I ran RF comms checks to both the BDR91s and nothing so I've think I've isolated the issue, now just need to fix it, I'm assuming the only way to do this is to attempt to unbind them, is there another way?
I'm digging through manuals and forum posts at the minute as I believe there was a manual way to overide the motorised switches, key priority is getting some hot water and heat, can someone help me out there?
As an aside I did see the detail about min 300mm gap between BDR91s whilst looking for answers, mine are next to each other so when the installer comes to service the new boiler (that went in at the same time) he can address that then also! I spoke to someone there earlier and they are going to get on of their EVO specialists to call me at some point but in the meantime any help would be appreciated.
Any help greatly appreciated,
EDIT:-
I've moved the switch on the V4043 motorised switches to manual so hopefully there will be heat and hot water coming through shortly, still need to fix the comms issues though.
Cheers,
James.
