    My favourite movies are

The Blues Brothers (1980) - have watched this a million times, and I still get the giggles
The Matrix (1999) - re-watched this recently on my new receiver and caught myself ducking for bullets
The Hunger Games (2012-2016) - ah, what can I say, I <3 Jennifer Lawrence

Avoiding the really popular and clichéd ones (i.e. Marvel, Star Wars, Fight-Club, Anchorman, Terminator, LOTR, Batman, Kingsman, etc)

Chronicle - Pretty good found footage sci-fi super power film.
Kick-ass - Everyone needs some immature humour and death....
The Adventures of Tin-Tin - It was an absolutely beautiful film that was fun to watch.

My number one favorite film is Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Second is probably The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, and third may be the romantic comedy You've Got Mail.
