Cameras
was thinking of adding a Ycam to look over the front yard - last time we looked, reviews seemed to be great ... further down the road, some seem to have problems with them - maybe some always will, but it prompted us to look also at alternatives - eg:

and wondered if anyone had tried such a camera in their house, and if it was any good, in such a situation ?
not sure about connect-ability, to Cortex ...

Are you sure this is the correct link? Seems to lead to an In Car Dash type DVR camera with GPS tracking.

yep, that's right ... seems to offer comprehensive facilities, and thought someone might have experimented with it ...

I see. It doesn't look like it has a networking output.

no, but it can connect to PC - as storage device & as webcam ...
anyway, just a thought - our current cameras are a wide-view high-definition Mobotix & a bullet Ycam - both yet to be brought-in to Cortex, but now close to top of the todo list, so was thinking would complete the coverage first & bring them all in at once ...

If it can connect to the PC as a live webcam (presumably longish USB cable) then probably a good chance of integrating it.
