    Default Evohome power down

    Hi All,
I'm moving house and need to go in rented for 6-8 weeks.
I've removed everything from the house and removed batteries from any device with one.

The main controller is currently sat in its mains cradle keeping the battery charged.
I don't see anyway of disconnecting the battery so when I move it's going to die.
What effect will this have on the battery being discharged fo 6-8 weeks?

    Any suggestions please?

The batteries are 2400mA NiMH standard rechargeable batteries. They will last a couple of hours with no power to the charger. I understand if power is removed it will not clear the memory, so place a piece of plastic or thin card in-between the battery and one of the contact ass they are charged and ready for storage. Ideal charge state for storage is 50%, but I doubt it will make much difference for the time your talking about.

Just let it run removed from the charger for about 3 hours - this will drain the battery to about 50%, then remove the batteries. The front panel un-clips quite easily around the edge just with fingernails to give access to the batteries.

Thanks guys, I think I had a brain freeze.
Totally forgot the front clips off to access the batteries.
