I can receive and decode any Sony, NEC (including Tivo), RC5, RC6, SKY, RCMM remote control signals and can also create them from scratch.
Should have Pioneer, JVC and Mistubishi sorted shortly as they are similar types to NEC codes. I can also learn and retransmit "raw" IR codes so theoretically almost any codes can be sent (except IRDA and 455kHz) but the learnt commands are VERY memory hungry and less accurate than generated ones.
This will allow almost any remote control handset to be used to control the switcher AND translate commands into those for most source equipment so that it will not be neccessary to have a remote for each device in every room.
I have to be VERY careful working on it when others are in the house as I have changed channels on bits of kits when I am not even in the same room
For some reason I seem to keep getting mainly green screens with a few coloured blobs on them but I think that is due to the "World Cup and Wimbledon" virus that has infected the TV schedules
I also hope to be able to include Pioneer, Panasonic and JVC format codes as these are similar to NEC but I havent finalised those just yet.
Obviously I wont be able to cater for the more obscure formats but KAT5 will relay those to control equipment anyway provided they are based on a 36-40KHz carrier frequency
