    Message to philchillbill

I had a private DM from philchillbill for some reason I cannot reply - Hence posting here - plus the community might be able to help.

You're in the NL. So you are using TCC EMEA instance. If you login to alexa amazon.com - then it will try to go to TCC US. You need to login via an Amazon portal (or use the local App store app) from either UK or Germany. This will then logically link to the TCC EMEA servers

Using either amazon.co.uk or amazon.de as portal just automatically redirects alexa login to the amazon.com portal so no joy there. The Alexa app is not available in the Dutch appstore so that's not an avenue either. When I try to add the TCC skill it opens a pop-up at tccna.honeywell and even changing that manually to tcceu.honeywell doesn't work.

      Any suggestions welcome !

That's really odd. When I use Alexa.amazon.co.uk I can remove the skill and then re-add it just fine.

It DOES use the tccna address like you say for authorisation, but the text says "Europe". And it authorises just fine.

I don't see 'Europe' anywhere on that screen (see screenshot) and my login credentials are rejected.

In fact, when I click on the http://www.mytotalconnectcomfort.com/ link on that login page, I get an error that it's an invalid URL. If I manually change it to international.mytotalconnectccomfort.com it works...

EDIT: Just tried it from Chrome instead of Edge and at least then the link works but my login is still rejected. I wonder if the skill login page dislikes characters like $%& in passwords?

Strange that a different browser should launch a link to a different website!

Well, in modern HTML you can check the browser being used and act differently if needed for rendering or for features not present in older browsers. That's not going on here though, as the only browser check done in the code is for older than IE9.

The connection is 'reset by the server' when Edge is used but Chrome and Firefox get through. Very strange. Perhaps type 'http://www.mytotalconnectcomfort.com' into Edge yourself and see if it will let you in. I notice I can get through if I make it https:// but the http:// is hard-coded into the Alexa skill login page. Not fully relevant as I don't need to follow that link to set-up a TCC account (I already have one), I just need to get the username/password submitted. But if the page is broken in one place it may well be broken on others too...
