    Smart Home User Research

    Hello!

I'm looking to speak with people who have smart home devices installed (Nest etc.). I'm from Dovetailed, a design studio in Cambridge, UK and we are working with a company developing a new energy saving product.

If you'd like to take part please send me an email (tom@dovetailed.io)

    thanks!

    Hi Tom

Welcome. Can you give more details of what you are looking for please, beta testers for a product? What's expected of the tester?

    Thanks

    M.

      Hi M,

Of course, initially we are looking for a few participants for a short phone interview. As the project develops there will potentially be opportunities for concept and prototype testing too, but we've not finalised that yet.

      Thanks,
      Tom

You might get a better response if you post your questions here. People could provide feedback in their own time, when it's convenient.
I promise to give feedback if you do. (Providing there are no more than 10 reasonable questions)

        Frank

          Hi Frank

As suggested here are the questions.

          1. Which Smart Home devices do you have?
          2. Why did you want to set up a smart system in your home?
          3. Can you give an example where the system has made me your life easier?
          4. Can you give an example of where the system has left you frustrated?
          5. What’s the one thing you wish you could add to your system?
          6. How much impact do you think the system has on your lifestyle?
          7. Has your system met your expectations? If not, why not?

          Thanks

          Tom
