Established system with new comms fault

    Morning folks,

I installed my Evohome system back in September 2015 and it has been up and running since then. I extended it to cover the rest of my system in April 2016. It is the version with integrated wifi controller and is running 11 rooms (zones) using 12 HR92s.

Everything has been running well until this year, when I have started to get comms faults. As far as I can tell, nothing has physically moved that would upset the communication and I have not changed anything.

Here is a list of the faults since January:
    Code:
DATE FAULT TIME (fault to restore)
01-Feb	Comm Fault, Boiler Relay	10min
06-Feb	Comm Fault, Kitchen, Sensor	2h
11-Feb	Comm Fault, Kitchen, Sensor	10min
12-Feb	Comm Fault, Kitchen, Sensor	7h
12-Feb	Comm Fault, Kitchen, Actuator	6h
16-Feb	Comm Fault, Kitchen, Sensor	4h
16-Feb	Comm Fault, Kitchen, Actuator	1h
16-Feb	Comm Fault, Kitchen, Sensor	2h
17-Feb	Comm Fault, Kitchen, Sensor	2h
17-Feb	Comm Fault, Kitchen, Actuator	1h
27-Feb	Comm Fault, Kitchen, Sensor	1h
27-Feb	Comm Fault, Kitchen, Actuator	1h
27-Feb	Comm Fault, Kitchen, Actuator	6h
27-Feb	Comm Fault, Kitchen, Sensor	10h
27-Feb	Comm Fault, Kitchen, Actuator	1h
    06-Mar	Comms Fault, Bed 2, Sensor	30min
23-Mar	Comms Fault, Boiler Relay	5h
28-Mar	Comms Fault, Boiler Relay	2h
28-Mar	Comms Fault, Boiler Relay	13h
29-Mar	Comms Fault, Boiler Relay	1h
31-Mar	Comms Fault, Boiler Relay	1h
01-Apr	Comms Fault, Laundry, Sensor	2h
02-Apr	Comms Fault, Laundry, Sensor	4h
04-Apr	Comms Fault, Boiler Relay	4h
05-Apr	Comms Fault, Boiler Relay	10h
Something seems to have upset the 'Kitchen' Sensor, which has had a knock-on effect on it's Actuator. But, this only happened in February and has been OK since, with no intervention.

My immediate issue is the Boiler Relay faults, as today I woke up to a cold house. I understand that with the wireless connection, things are never perfect, but I would not expect more than 10min drops in communication.

Does anyone have any thoughts on where to start looking for problems?

    Cheers,
    Rob

I tried a reset and also performed an RF Comms check.
The comms check indicated a 'poor' signal strength, so I moved the relay box slightly further away from any potential problem items (metal stuff). A follow-up RC Comms check reported 'good' signal strength.

I will keep an eye on it and see what happens.

Did you ever get this issue sorted out? Just curious.

I moved my relay box, as noted above and significantly reduced the number of faults.
This has not eliminated them altogether, as I still get the odd one now and then. I guess it is just the nature of RF communications that they sometimes drop out.
