I'd love that as well, currently using 'Conrad Connect' though. Beautiful interface that really helps show off your system & how it is working for you with graph, bar charts, history of it all etc. Help me fine tune some of the system's working.

if only Evohome could integrate something similar.....

Awesome... Last call today needs an electric towel rail to be added to his multi zoned ufh installation.

        Great news though.

It would be nice if it could also use the actual conditions

What function will the outside weather serve?

Hopefully it will use it to better regulate the heating. If it is only going to display it, indeed, why bother.

I am not sure that weather compensation would save me much given that my system is already controlled by aggregated HR92 demands and Evohome/Opentherm. My zones are all now on target and Opentherm has wound down the boiler calculated flow maximum set temperature to 43C. Unless an external sensor is fitted, then Evohome temperature reporting is by its very nature not that accurate. My property is halfway up the Malvern Hills so night time temperature is affected by what are known as katabatic winds (cold air running down hills).

I will find it interesting and I am grateful that Honeywell will be including this. I use Loop and I find that the reports which show consumption against external temperature are illuminating. The winter months do show a negative correlation between gas consumption and external temperature. It doesn't need to do anything in the controls. Just be visible. I already use the TCC app to check the weather in the mornings if I already have that app open.

Weather compensation has been discussed many (many) times. But in short with evohome we focus on measuring accurately the real time behaviour inside your home, not the outside. Different houses have different levels of thermal dissipation / retention. If a cold snap suddenly is due - that shouldn't be a reason to fire up the boiler - its is what the home does which matters.
In Germany weather compensation is tightly bound to very very very strict building regulations - evohome over there doesnt even control the boiler. Just the room balancing and control.

The introduction of outside weather / temp is for cosmetic & convenience purposes.

I so hope that demand is also available from the data obtained using the api!

We now have more info to share around the release of future FW updates for evohome Wi-Fi units.

                        Software 02.00.11.21 & Wi-Fi 02.00.11.00
This is being released now. It is in our production units from the factory and will be pushed out over the next few days via our deployment systems. Users shouldn't have to do anything as this will be a fully automated update
                        - Hot water boost function (if you have Stored HW)
                        - Icon change on Hot water
                        - Wi-Fi channels 12/13 fix
                        - Ghost zone fix (for users that still had it)
                        - General security and maintenance fixes

                        Next version (due ASAP)
This is a small update for the Wi-Fi FW and provides an addition security fix to negate the Krack security issue.

Next version (still aiming for end of year/ early Jan - all subject to continued testing)
                        Additional functional improvements
                        - Heat demand per zone is indicated
                        - Electric zone support
                        - Outside weather display
                        - Plus other maintenance and security improvements

Nor mine. Last time updates were pushed out they were spread out over about a 2-3 week period though, so just be patient...

Sorry my tone came across as a bit bossy, I didn't mean it that way. I've been checking mine each day too but from past experience I know they stagger the updates across several weeks, or do it in batches, presumably so that if any unexpected problems are found it minimises the impact, then everyone else gets updated once they are happy the first batch have updated smoothly.

As there is nothing groundbreaking in this first update I'm not too bothered about waiting, although I will be a bit more impatient for the features in the January update when that starts rolling out.
