Evotouch not communicating with an HR92 ...

    Hi there,

I have the evotouch at ground floor at ly house, and something ike 10 different HR92' all around the house and the BDR91 at the third floor.

One of my HR92 has difficulties communicating with the evotough .... it is the HR92 located the farest on the 3rd floor of my house (the distance is the biggest with the evotouch, but it is near the BDR91).

Is there any way I can improve the communication between the Evotouch screen and the HR92 ?
A kind of repeater I can install ?

Also, do you know who those different devices communicate with each other ?
Evotouch screen with the BDR91 and the HR92 ?
    HR92 with BDR91 ?

    Many thanks !!

All devices communicate centrally back to the evotouch controller. HR92's don't talk directly to BDR91's, their heat demands are relayed through the evotouch controller.

About the only thing you could do (aside from splitting your system between two controllers) would be to move the controller to a more central location. A wall mount is likely to give better signal strength than having it sitting on a table on the table mount as well. Also ensure there are no large metal objects (aside from a radiator obviously) close to the HR92 or Evotouch.

I have had my heating zone valve relay loose contact with my Evotouch for several hours because I had positioned a portable dehumidifier about a metre from the BDR91, on the other side of a wall, but in line with the direction of signal going to the Evotouch, so the system is quite sensitive to large nearby metal objects.

There was some talk recently about increasing the radio performance of an HR92 by plugging a micro USB cable into the socket on the side of it.

No, a third party supplier is bundling an HR92, MicroUSB lead and pair of Lithium AAs for a (hefty) premium.
