    Voltage etc

    hello,

New to all this, looking at Automating my Mobile home, Just thinking of a 4 Sensor Thermo, Connected to Electirc Heater and Fan to start. Due to the low Power available to me, I could do with a way of the Computer Knowing How much Power is Being used from the mains Cable i.e if All Ready Using 18 amp then the Fan Wont be Switched on etc. Is there anyway to do this apart from having every item on a switch, (expensive) Had a look around but Carnt Seem to Find a Amp MeterI can Link to the PC

    Thanks for Looking

Try CR magnetics. This device might be what you are looking for, here is the link http://www.crmagnetics.com/newprod/P...rodName=CR4395
    Another company is DMMetering http://www.dmmetering.com/

Or you may want to send this guy an email

    Hope this helps

That sensor looks just like the ones that CR magnetics do for current measuring, have a look here http://www.crmagnetics.com/newprod/c...ransducers.htm
          I wonder who is cheaper?

            Hello,
http://rswww.com (just search for Power Sensors or Transducers, wont like Inside site)
these Guys have got loads and some look to cheap, ie sub £20, but high ampage 200amp etc, very little mention of voltage max ie well they do 240volt.

Also Looking at this on http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...1060%26fvi%3D1, just wondering if its possible to use that for temp sensors and amp readings, + Power realys etc.

            thanks

Right Think this is the Plan

              Current Transducer

              and a Relay Box, http://www.quasarelectronics.com/3108.htm

Believe I should be able to have the heating come on at set time for certain temps,

anyone know of any software that is compatable with the above box, would save alot of setup time,

              Thanks
